(I saw this window display at Cesars Forum Shops and instantly thought of the perfect post topic!)
Sounds a little counter-intuitive, right? Everyone’s telling you (or maybe it’s just me) you need to be producing, producing, producing when it comes to content for your site and social media presence.
Here’s something that help you breath a little easier. Maybe you don’t have time to be blogging every day. Or, maybe you just have a hard time thinking of new topics.
Produce Content When You Can, then Promote It More
Often I’ll talk to clients who have actually taken to producing content for their site. They say they will blog twice a week and even share it to their Facebook page, and even tweet it… twice! Then they’ll wonder why they’re not seeing results.
Social Media Platforms are like Big Conveyer Belts!
Always remember that all of the main feeds on the various social networks out there are nothing more than big conveyor belts. You can drop your content onto it, and watch it fade off into the distance.
Promote Your Content Often, but Without The Feel of Repetition
To really have your content seen by more pairs of eyes, you’ll need to repost, repost, repost; promote, promote, promote. However, don’t just keep saying the same thing over and over again. Be creative. Come up with different perspectives or different angles to promote your content. Suggest different benefits to reading your content.
A Couple Challenges
- You need to be more creative and promote your content repetitively, without seeming repetitive.
- You need to produce stronger content that deserves repetitive promotion. If you keep driving your followers back to a bunch of noise, you’ll probably have a harder time getting their attention next time – if they don’t drop you.
A Couple Benefits
- It can reduce the heat of having to produce content on a daily basis if you really just don’t have the time.
- It can make sure the words you labor over are actually seen!
Work less, accomplish more.
