I love how mobile has taken over in regards to the way we can run our businesses now. Especially for me, someone who used to be chained to a computer if I wanted to develop content. That was a problem for me, I don’t like to be sedentary, I like to move, even if it means just walking around while I’m working. Actually, that’s what I’m doing right now.
I’m currently walking around, talking into the phone, letting the phone do the typing, while I create this post.
Gutenberg
My favorite part of all this is because of how easy it is to use WordPress on our phones now, especially since version 5.0 came along with the block editor, Gutenberg.
When Gutenberg was first released just recently, I wasn’t all that excited about it. I have been so used to using the classic editor that’s been a staple of word press Gutenberg was first released just recently, I wasn’t all that excited about it. I have been so used to using the classic editor that’s been a staple of word press; that Zen experience of creating new posts and pages In a very simple way.
That was great, especially if you were using a device like a computer or a laptop that had a keyboard. But I have to say, when it comes to working on a mobile device, using the block editor, Gutenberg just makes more sense. It just makes it that much easier to keep moving down the page creating your document, adding specific blocks along the way for the type of content you want to add next; it just works great.
Creating More Content with Mobile
One of the biggest advantages I see to all this is now that we can More easily create content from our phone or tablet, we can create content anywhere, anytime.
These days with the playing Field level due to the Internet, we know that generating more content is crucial. I should say, generating more valuable content is crucial.
Generating content is not always easy, especially if you want to do it consistently. But now, you could be out having lunch, or grocery shopping, or just walking down the street and you see something happen that could be content that would be of value to your audience. Yeah, you could try and remember it and put together a post when you got home or back to the office. But more often than not, it’s easy to forget about it, or at the very least forget the details about what you wanted to post. Now even if you do post something, it probably won’t be as powerful or as informative compared to how it would’ve been if you would’ve just composed it in the moment.
Anytime, anywhere
Now, anytime you have an idea that popped into your head, and it would make a good post, you don’t have to wait, and then maybe forget about it. You can post it right away.
You can post it, add a photograph, maybe even to take a picture right then using your phone that documents your idea.
Then once it’s posted to your site, from there you can share it to your social media sites.
Now you’re generating content on the fly, posting often, at the rate that you really do need to be delivering content to your audience these days.
Focus on Value
Now that it’s even easier to generate much more content, much more often, just make sure you’re not flooding your audience with nonsense, stuff they can’t use. Always stay focused on the value of what you deliver.
Also try to keep it brief, and by posting more often that might be easier to do.
And in the spirit of being brief (too late for that), I will go ahead and wrap this up.
