Okay, 2011 is here. If you’re not adding video to your website yet, you should be. Video is one of the best and most effective ways for you to get your message across to people.
Another thing to think about is how to make your video stand out. How can you make it different than what everyone else is doing? Think about Mathew Lesko. He’s the guy who you’ve seen on late night TV telling you about money you can get for free from the government. If you still can’t remember him, he’s the guy who wears the question mark suit. Okay, now you definitely remember him. He did something different that made his video (commercial) stand out.
Maybe you could do something like that in your video. Wear funny hats, do the Steve Martin arrow-through-the-head thing (dating myself?).
Here’s a brief video that I did. In my experience, most business websites don’t have a video of their web consultant playing guitar. Is this an effective way to get my message across? I don’t know, I just wanted to use the guitar to make a point. Let me know if you think this worked or not.
