Using Inspiration to Establish the Connection
How do you interact with your customers or clients? People come to you because they need a solution. How do you approach that?
Do you go through a dry presentation of what you offer, how much it costs and how soon you can deliver? Do you focus on just closing the deal, making that sale and moving on to the next customer?
Here’s how I approach new (and existing) clients.
I’m lucky in the fact that the majority of the people I work with are really focused on providing something of value and genuinely want to help their customers with their needs. This inspires me.
As I’m inspired by my clients, I in turn want to inspire them. I want to work with them in developing their online presence so that their message is clear. That their expertise stands out. That they come across as cool as they really are.
Inspiration Drives Success
I’m not saying that these people need to be inspired by me, but I find that a business relationship in which all parties involved see and promote the value of what each other has to offer, that’s a much more powerful and successful project.
What If I’m Not Feeling It From Them?
If my client doesn’t particularly inspire me right off the bat with their presentation to me, then I’ll start the ball rolling. We’ll go through ways to really highlight what stands out about them. Ways to clearly show why they would be a good choice for their customers. I want to inspire them to see, again, just how cool they really are.
What Do You Think?
Do you experience this with your clients or customers? Maybe you’re just selling a product that, although it won’t change peoples lives, it’s still a great product. I think you can still approach business in this manner. Yes?
Let me know what you find works best for you.
