If you’re still just getting started, or even if your site has been online for sometime now, you still might not be getting the repeat visits that you’d like to see.
Unless your site has become known as an industry hub, it’s not likely that even your loyal customers and followers will be hitting your website everyday, or even every week. Monthly?
Go To Where the People Are!
If you haven’t reached that level of success with your business yet and you’re people aren’t coming to you everyday, that means you need to go to them. Go to where the people are.
That means the social networks. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc…
It only makes sense, right? If you’re not developing your presence on these sites that would be like choosing the middle of the desert to build your business, then you wonder why no one is stopping by to buy your goods and services. That’s not where your customers are (yet).
Let ’em Know Where You Are!
Once you’ve set up shop on these networks, make sure you tell your sites visitors how they can connect with you on your social media pages. Make it very clear how to find and follow you on a few of these precious marketing streams.
Use the little icons like the ones you see on this site (look to the right). Blog about it. Maybe even let them know that if the follow you on Facebook, for example, they’ll get specials or discounts exclusively announced on your Facebook page. Stuff like that.
Once your on these social media sites then you can also include information when posting on those sites that points them back to your official website.
Don’t Let Them Forget About You!
Like I said, it’s rare that even your loyal customers will visit your website everyday but, with rare exceptions, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t spend a significant amount of time checking out Facebook or Twitter everyday. Everyday!
Make sure they see you there.
