How to increase brand awareness is the ongoing focus of every business. Or at least it should be. I’m not talking about people recognizing your logo. I’m talking about your brand; your reputation. In other words, making sure more people know what you bring to the table.
If you’re not thinking about how to constantly be increasing your brand’s awareness, you’re just making it harder on yourself in the long run. Because, it’s easy for brands to fade. You don’t want that.
How You Can Increase Brand Awareness
You could obviously buy ads and use money to increase your brand’s awareness, but I want to give you some ways; some things you can do on your own, that won’t cost you anything but time and effort.
Content, Content, Content
“The more content I put out, the more luck I have.”
Gary Vaynerchuk
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you’re already pretty aware of how hard I push on the issue of content creation. Yep, I’m back on my soapbox again.

Let’s start with your website
Your website is you’re number one way to produce enough content, so that your brand is clear and strong. This is your hub. It’s where it all begins.
Write more posts around what it is that you do. But, make it in a way that’s helpful to your audience. Make it about your audience.
Give tips and helpful advice. This can really help to increase brand awareness.
Write articles about ways your customers wouldn’t need you (for everything).
For example: if you’re a Dry Cleaner, write an article about how people can get stains out. Yeah, maybe some people will try it. Most won’t. But the thing is, you’re providing value.

Entertain
Write about fun things that might not be directly related to your industry, but is in the ballpark.
For example: You’re Dry Cleaner again. You could start a fashion blog on the site. Dry cleaning is all about clothes. Fashion is all about clothes and is a little bit more interesting than dry cleaning. Therefore, there’s more potential to attract more readers.
Again, the you’re is providing content of value; talking about a related industry that people are interested in.

Social Media
Okay, you’re continuing to generate fresh, helpful, maybe even entertaining content on your website. Great job! Now let’s take that to where the masses are.
Every time you create content for your website, the next thing you want to do is share that content to your social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube.
This is an easy way to provide attractive links on your social media that can invite people back to your website. This gives them a better opportunity to really learn who you are and what you do. Most importantly, how are you can help them.
YouTube
I wanted to give YouTube its own section simply because it deserves that much attention.
First of all, YouTube is the second biggest search engine, and it’s where people go because they want video answers to their questions.
Start a YouTube channel and upload videos regularly. Keep doing this, and as long as you’re providing the kind of content the people are looking for, I promise you you will see results. Big time.
How You Can Increase Brand Awareness
Content. It’s always going to be about producing valuable content and making sure people see it. However, this is a good thing. Because, having your website is the perfect brand building tool. You don’t have to pay for advertising. You can do all these things yourself.
But don’t wait. Don’t put this off. Get started. Take action. That’s what will make the difference. In other words, just start. Start creating content regularly. You can make up a schedule if that helps. Build up momentum, this stuff can actually be fun and creative. But most importantly, just start.
