What Can You Do To Make Your Business Successful Online
- You’ve got your website.
- You’ve got your awesome product or service that you provide.
- You’re great at what you do!
How do you make sure everyone can find you on Google so you can make money? Don’t worry, you’re not alone in asking that question. That’s one of the most important questions in business today and everyone’s asking it.
Reality: You’ve got a lot of competition and it’s not going to be easy.
There are countless new websites popping up everyday. I read a post on Mashable.com last year that said there are 150,000 new domains registered everyday. (and that data is a year old now!) These sites are offering people countless places to spend their time, and their money. With that kind of competition, how can you help your site get noticed?
There are paid services out there that can help you develop your brand and your presence online, and if you get the right people to help you, this can be money well spent. Here in Vegas I’m partnered with an excellent team, AdviseMedia Group. Click here for more info about that.
However, many startups (and established businesses) do not always have a lot of money to work with when it comes to marketing.
So what is something you can do on your own?
Content Marketing
Content Marketing is producing and contributing content to your website on a regular basis. You do this using your site’s blog. (if you still don’t have a blog, stop reading and call me right now!)
You’re basically blogging for your business, and that’s called Content Marketing. This is one of the most important thing you can do on your own to help your business online.
Consistently putting out fresh content on the site not only helps you to develop your identity and relationship with your customers and clients, it also helps you with Google.
Google doesn’t like to see static websites anymore. Google likes to see fresh and consistent activity. Content Marketing/Blogging also gives you a chance to continually add more and more relevant, keyword-rich (but don’t over do it) content. That just gives Google more to work with.
Content is Still King!
Your site’s content is what helps your clients or customers understand how you can help them. Your site’s content is what tells Google who they should be sending to your site. The more relevant content you have on your site, the more confidence you’ll build with your clients and the more Google will have to grab onto when it’s visiting your site.
By putting out more and more helpful and relevant content, more frequently, the better chance you and your business have in developing your brand online, and to develop your reputation as an authority in your industry.
So which is it – Blogging or Content Marketing?
It’s both. It is Content Marketing in a blog format. Your doing regular posts, engaging your readers and inspiring comments and conversation. That’s what blogging is. It’s not just a one way blast telling people what you want them to know or think. It’s engagement. It’s two way conversation.
That’s what you want to develop on your site. And the material is all about your products, services, and how you can help your readers/clients/customers. That’s Content Marketing!
Guaranteed Success!!!????
I think we all know the answer to this. Doing this won’t guarantee that you’re going to start showing up on page #1 of a Google search for what you offer, but it’s a powerful way to start, and something you can do on your own. And, if you don’t do it, you’ll be falling way behind all of your competitors who are already blogging for their business.
Hope This Helps!
So if you’ve been a little confused about how blogging is the way to go, I hope this gives you a way to look at it that you can sink your teeth into.
Still Got Questions?
Let me know! I know that it can be a little confusing or unclear how this kind of thing is worth it,but it really is effective! And I can’t stress that enough. So ask any questions you may have and I’ll answer anything I can to help.
