I think this is probably the number one question that all web designers get it. How much does a website cost?
This is one of those kind of questions that can have many different answers. However, with just a little bit of information, the cost of most websites can be determined quickly and easily.
No really, how much does a website cost?
Determining the cost of a website can be simple. First, you tell me what you need from your website.
Do you need a static, brochure type of website; just something for web presence?
First of all, do you have a specific reason why you only need an online brochure?
For example:
- Maybe you just need a space on the web where you can directly send your current clients as an information resource.
- Or, you send current clients directly to your site to send you online form submissions in case you need to collect information from them, things of that nature.
That’s fine, and I understand. However this is rare. Notice in the examples I listed above I referred to current clients. I said it that way because brochure websites won’t attract new clients.
Most businesses need websites they can use as a tool in building their brand.

A Website That Works Like an Online Brand-Building Tool
This kind of website is what most businesses need, at the very least. The good thing is, the cost of a website like this really wouldn’t be any different than the brochure style.
The difference would be, this website would be your online hub. This is where you could develop and publish fresh content consistently.
As a result, you would be using content marketing as a way of building your brand. You would be building trust and establishing authority in your field.

Online Portfolio
If your photographer, an artist, or anyone who has work they want to display, you definitely want to include a portfolio on your website.
This gives you a place where people can come to view and enjoy your work. Your website would still give you the tools to publish content; build your audience; build your brand.
Cost of an e-Commerce Website
This could bump up the price a little bit, but it really just depends on how great your e-commerce needs are.
Do you have just a few products to sell? Or maybe you have hundreds. Any extra costs for your website will depend on how many products you have.

Do you have all your content ready, or do you need help?
Many of my clients prepare the copy/text for each page of their site, then just send that to me to put together. However, I’m happy provide copywriting services for you.
You can just send me the facts about what you do. After that, I’ll take it from there; dress it up and make sure it’s exactly what you need.
The Cost of A Website
In conclusion, for most of my clients, these few aspects are all I need to know. Once we go over everything, I can let you know the price.
It’s a quick and painless process. So, get in touch with me and let me know what your website’s needs are. I’ll talk with you, answer any questions you might have, and be able to give you a quote for your website right away.
Or, if you’d rather, you can use the Online Quote Form to get a general idea of the cost of your new website.
