Of course you already know, if you want your content to get noticed, you need to add an image that helps it stand out. Paying for a stock image each time you post can start to add up after a while. And don’t get me started on the issues of stealing images that you don’t have the rights to.
Getty Images Offers a New Free Embed Images Service
Just recently Getty Images, one of the largest sources of professional photos online, has decided to offer much of it’s content available for you to use for free. It’s their new Embed Images service. This allows you to:
- search for the photo you want to use
- copy the embed code
- paste the embed code into your page or post
- publish and share
There are some restrictions having to do with using the embedded images on anything commercial. That kind of stuff can always be a little tricky so be sure to read the terms of use.
Anyway, check it out and see if this could be something to help your posts get noticed!

As a side note: the image at the top of the post is not from Getti. It’s a shot I just took during one of my walks on the strip lately.
