Google+
If you haven’t checked out Google+ yet, it’s a great new social media spot online for you to, well, be social. 🙂
I’ve just been playing around with this for a couple of days, but in my mind Google has done it again. They’ve created another awesome (FREE!) online service. To me (and many others, from what I hear) Google adds the best features from other social media platforms.
Why do I like it So Much?
- Easy to follow others without having to make a mutual connection (great for stalkers)
- Does an awesome job displaying photos and videos
- Allows you to group your contacts into circles (categories)
There are other things that I really like about it, but that last point I listed is probably one of my favorite things about using Google+. For me I can use this feature to easily just check in on the photographers I’m connected to. Or, maybe I just want to post a message for my web clients to read, but my other contacts wouldn’t really need (or want) to see.
As with many things, social media is subjective. Some people gravitate more to Twitter. Others prefer Facebook. Others, YouTube…. Give Google+ a test drive and see what you think.
Google+ Pages
Recently Google+ annouced “Pages” for business. Now, along with your own personal page, you can also set up a Page for your business.
